This activity can be given as a reinforcement or practice with the four common prepositions introduced in the ES and 1st grade ES (or 7th grade in my school).
Instructions are simple. It's basically jeopardy minus the points and the categories. Students choose a picture from the HOME slide. That thing in the picture is what they're going to look for in the linked slides containing the question "Where is the ___?" to which they will answer "It's (ON/IN/UNDER/BY) the _____."
Of course, it is still up to the creativity of the ALT and the open-mindedness of the JTE to make this more interesting and effective.
Great idea. I'll give this a try.
Just a quick note - the snowman and eraser images are links. If you click on it by accident in the middle of class, it will open up whatever the default browser is and could be a pain in the backside. It's better to insert the images directly.
Also if you search for images in Bing, and they have watermarks often the 'related images' section contains the same image minus the watermark. It's real handy.
I used this in class today and the kids LOVED all of the adorable and interesting gifs! I did not have an issueuu with clicking, but I did end up switching out the eraser image because it wasn
t showing up clearly on my PPT as well as changing the baby boy slide to say
hes
