a.k.a. the powerpoint I spent WAY too much time on
I originally made this for my ES 5th graders as a general review, going over material they learned in the 3rd and 4th grade (based on the Let's Try textbooks) up to New Horizons 5 Unit 4. I've also made various "template" versions so you can change up the questions as you please to fit any grade level. :)
How to play:
1.) Select a pokemon, and have the students answer the corresponding question.
2.) At the question slide, swipe/click to show the answer, and then select the pokeball if they got it right, or the pokemon if they got it wrong.
3.) From the "That's right!" slide/s, return to the current area by clicking on the "Return" text/arrow.
4.) After catching all of the pokemon on the screen, swipe/click once more to reveal the area boss. You may need to then select the boss pokemon. Afterwards, click anywhere on the red screen (of danger) that pops up to get to the boss question slide.
5.) If the students successfully "catch" the boss, level up to the next area from the "That's right!" slide!
Some extra things:
- PLEASE LOOK AT THE NOTES IN THE SLIDES! I put all sorts of info like whether slides are optional and can be deleted without affecting other slides, info about the Japanese name equivalents of the pokemon, and so on!
- The music may be pretty loud, just warning in advance!
- I put all sorts of buttons hidden in there to make it easier (for me at least) to navigate. I put more info about this within the powerpoint/s.
- The "lite" versions of the powerpoint have all of the extra slides (loading/eyecatch screens, additional info slides) deleted so you can go straight to the quizzes.
Sorry in advance for any formatting errors--this should look best when run on the desktop/full version of powerpoint, but should work fine on the tablet version as well (minus some extra animation effects not working). Please do let me know how it goes in your classes(and if there are any glaring errors) and have fun!
Woahh! This is so cool! Hopefully I remember to use this for end of year review for 3rd and 4th graders, I am really excited!
Thanks for so much detail! Can't wait to use this for a yearly review!
It would be nice if you can add a google drive link for these files. We can't download these files here via the free account.
