Directions:
-Before starting, use the opening slides to practice the vocab words (if needed.)
-Divide the class into 2 teams.
-Take turns asking a student from each team the target language question (What do you want?)
-Click the food that they responded with and a short animation will play which displays how many points that food was worth.
-The team with the most points wins.
Notes:
-This download has three rounds. If you would like to add more simply duplicate a round and change the point value.
-Click the Waddle Dee or Kirby to return to the main page of that round.
-To end a round, click on the Warp Star picture on the round's main page.
Tips:
-If the school uses LoiloNote I usually send the students the food chart slide so they can prep as a team inbetween rounds.
-I usually have the student's whole team repeat what they said after them so everyone on their team can practice speaking.
Updates:
-I've noticed that sometimes a game will become TOTALLY one-sided and one team has no chance of winning which really bums them out. So, I've added a "waddledoo" picture to each point slide. This will link you to an animation where Kirby eats the points for that food. I rarely use this to give the losing team a glimmer of hope. It's your choice when/if to use it.
-I've added an easier version for younger kids that have the food names above each food on the selection slides.
