This presentation introduces and allows the students to guess many things about Hanukkah. The slideshow talks about the basics of what Hanukkah is, what people eat, traditions, and how to play dreidel. This lesson also coincides with New Horizons 1's Let's Write activity on page 84, where the students write a holiday card. In class, I do the presentation for the first half and end it with the holiday card activity. I hope this helps.

Late to the party (as always). Great and easy exposure to a holiday the students might not get exposure to otherwise. As much as I love Christmas, it's always good to teach kids different holidays and cultures. Just thought I'd let you know this is terrific, and that I might do the teacher thing and steal it. MWA HA HA HA HA!!!
