This game is a simple true and false game about seasons and Christmas!
Simply have the students split up into teams (any amount is okay!).
Teams take turns choosing numbers and answering the questions. On the question page, please press the right arrow key to reveal the answer. Then click on the home icon to go back to the main menu. Upon returning, the treasure will be dug up. Click on the treasure to reveal the points, then click on the home again to go back to the main menu. The next team chooses a number at this point.
In my class, we practiced "Let's find" recently. Before clicking the house on the question slide, the team who answered correctly would say, "Let's find treasure!"
Slide two is merely an example of what will happen in the game. Click the right arrow 3 times to show students that we will be digging for treasure, then move on to the next slide for the main game.
The questions are fairly easy because I made this for a special needs class.
I've also made a worksheet that is optional to print out. Before playing the game, I practiced these words with students. Having the worksheet helped the students have some scaffolding to form their answers around.
We practiced answering by saying "The answer is OO." This is on the worksheet.
I've added music and sounds effects as well! Please enjoy!
This is awesome. The children will love it specially the sound effects. Greatly appreciated.
One of my students specifically asked if we could play an Animal Crossing themed game next class. This is exactly what I needed. THANK YOU!!!!
Wonderful! :) Thanks for making a winter version, this saves me some time!
That is awesome. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for sharing.
This is a very wonderful activity but every time I return to the home icon, the number doesn't change into a treasure. I am using my iPhone and a PowerPoint application.
Thanks so much for this! I changed it to fit my tech situation and style--on tablets/mobile versions of powerpoint, the exit animations don't trigger when you return using the home icon so I added the treasure result animations to each question instead.
