THINGS YOU'LL NEED
- White boards, markers, and erasers for each group
- Copies of a list of questions for each group
- OPTIONAL: Print, cut out, and laminate the mage characters
DIRECTIONS
- Divide your class into groups and distribute the mage characters.
- Groups work together to answer questions from the question list on their white boards.
- For each answer, have one student from that group bring their white board and questions list to you.
- If they are correct, mark that question complete on the list and have them choose a mage to attack.
- Last mage standing wins. (Dead mages can still attack!!!)
GAME PLAY
- Press ENTER or SPACE once to make all the mages appear on the battle slide (then don't press them again).
- Click on a mage to deal damage (7 hits kills the mage).
- Click on the circle with the T# in it to immediately kill off or revive that mage.
- Click on a star to go to that mage's winning slide.
VARIATIONS
- You can put a picture of the ALT or JTE in the second slide to make them the Master of the Mage Tower~
- When all the mages are dead, おまえはもう死んでいる (Omae ha mou shinde iru - the anime meme) is fully revealed. If you would like to change the message, these letters are labelled as "Dead" in the ppt selection panel.
- When a mage has been killed, give them a "die once get one free" discount to attack twice the next time they come up.
- Let mages revive to keep the game going longer. (Though if you have enough time, I would recommend just playing again.)
TECHNICAL TIPS
- If you make a mistake, just kill and revive the mage and deal damage to it again!
- To start a new game, go to a slide before the battle slide and go forward again.
- If you accidentally go to a winning slide before the game is over, go back to the battle slide and progress will be kept. BE CAREFUL not to go too far back, otherwise progress will be lost.
