Created for Junior High School year 1 students, but I'm pretty sure Elementary School year 6 and maybe even lower can do these activities.
Basically, students have to figure out which family member is dressed in which costumes. After going through the slideshow to make sure they know the target language, have them cut out the Irasutoya pictures on the hints worksheet. They will then go through the hints and try to work out which costume goes where on the family tree worksheet.
For example; the first hint is "The mummy’s dad’s dad is Santa." - this means that the grandfather has to be Santa and one of the siblings is the mummy. Some of the sentences are purposefully worded so that there is more than one possible answer on its own, but there is only 1 final correct answer when everything is put together.
Once they managed to complete the family tree correctly, they can move onto the crossword that uses a lot of the previous Halloween words.
This lesson was made as a request from one of my JTEs in an attempt to calm down some of the rather rambunctious students I have. It did work as intended, but your mileage may vary.
