A simple boardgame to have students practice speaking.
~ What you will need ~
- Enough sugoroku worksheets to make groups of 4~5.
- Students' erasers (to be their moving tokens)
~ RULES ~
Students roll dice.
Depending on the number they roll, they have to say that the ingredient they landed on is from that number's assigned place.
For example:
1 - Norway
2 - Australia
3 - Brazil
4 - Hokkaido
5 - Fukuoka
6 - Chiba
If a student rolls a 4 and lands on the potato space, they would say:
"The potatoes are from Hokkaido."
If students land on a ladder block, they either go back and forth.
If students land on an arrow with a circle, they move back to the pointer part of the arrow.
The first student to get to the picture of Anya hugging Bond wins.
(You could do it where they have to keep rolling until they perfectly get to the last space or not, it's up to you!)
This is great! Is it possible to upload an editable version or word document.
I made this in photoshop, so I can't give a compatible word document, but I can added a blank version in a couple of versions (.png, .pdf, word doc) for you to try editing yourself! I hope this helps!
This was a real lifesaver when I found out we had to change the class plans last minute this morning! Thank you so much it went really well
