The students will play bingo by walking around the class and using the prompts in the bingo squares to practice the target language.
They will take turns in pairs asking "Can you _____ me _?" and the other student responds with "I will __ you ______." along with a gesture or action that acompanies the prompt. After they have completed it they sign their name in the box they finished. Some prompts require actions like a "high five" (make sure the students know what that is), or "draw/smiley face", in which case if they do the dialogue but don't draw a smiley face it doesn't count, so make sure to explain the actions and gestures have to be done too. Plus it makes it more fun :) Depending on time, we would challenge the students to get two or three bingos.
I use the "show/how to make pancakes" to demo the target language with my JTE.
JTE: Can you show me how to make pancakes?
ALT: Yes! I wll show you how to make pancakes!
(enthusiastic pancake flipping gesture)
We also wrote the sentences out on the board for "Can you _____ me_? / I will __ you___" and indicating where the verb went and such. But, as always, adjust the explanation to your students' levels.
For the writing section, we had the students choose from the completed boxes they had done to write sentences about. They're writing both the question and answer to the prompt. We also told them they couldn't repeat verbs so they woulnd't end up writing "Can you show me..." x3.
Pretty straight forward, let me know if you have any questions though!
