Where’s That Pokémon? (My Dream Friend)

A fun Pokémon-themed game to practice vocabulary for One World Smiles 5 Lesson 9 - My Dream Friend

Display the game in front of the class using a TV or projector. Students must try to find Pikachu, then Eevee. At the end of three questions, the Pokémon evolve! I didn’t have time before needing to use this in class to create more questions for Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander, but I have included hidden slides with their evolutions in case you want to edit the PPT to find those Pokémon as well. This game is really flexible!

Depending on your class, you may have students raise their hands to guess, or you can pick them randomly from popsicle sticks or other methods of randomly choosing students. When I did this, I let them know that there was no pressure to guess if they didn’t want to… PASS is totally okay!

I’ve embedded the fonts in the PPT file, so there shouldn’t be any issues even if you don’t have the font. However, leave a comment if you’re having issues displaying the fonts and I’ll put the download links in the comments.

Enjoy!

I really love this game but I really wish you had used all the Pokémon that were in the slots. That way the game would last longer because it’s really fun. Good job though, I’m gonna try and see if I can edit it myself to make it longer 😅.
