Really exciting music game that even my co-teachers get into! One of my schools is significantly smaller than my main school, so we finish lessons pretty fast. Last One Standing is good to whip out if you want to fill in the time and still keep kids engaged. You can play for 1 song or for all 8, hence the "estimated time" being so broad.
PLEASE download the fonts before opening in PPT. It might look funky otherwise!
Songs:(30-40 second sound clips)
1) Twice - The Feels
2) XG - Shooting Star
3) Nozomi Kitay - Moshi Moshi
4) Produce 101 JP - Leap High
5) Imagine Dragons - Bones
6) Creepy Nuts - Bling Bang Bang Born
7) ATARASHII GAKKO! - Tokyo Calling
8) ILLIT - Magnetic
Goal of the game:
Choose the word that will be the last word sung!
How to Play:
- Have all the students stand at their desk and choose a "planet" on the "Song Selection" page.
- Go over the 7 words on the screen and what they mean.
- Tell the students to each pick one of the 7 words on the screen. Then they can tell a neighbor what their word is. *this will hold them accountable
- Press the pink "Play" button to start the song and animations.
- The students should sit when they see their word disappear.
- Winners are those who chose the final word on the screen!
- Click the little "Alien head" icon to go back to the song selection.
- Rinse and repeat until class time has been filled out!
If you really want to milk time, you can:
- have kids write down their chosen words
- have kids write their word + it's Japanese translation
- have kids tell 2 other students their chosen word
Plz, if you know other JPOP songs that have English LMK!! I had to fill in a bit with KPOP cause I don't follow JPOP that closely. I'll add any songs in a follow up game.
Let me know if there are any mistakes, I work pretty fast so it's very possible I missed something!!

If you embed the fonts in your file, others shouldn’t need to download them first before viewing or editing! You can do this through File > Options > Save > Embed fonts in the file :)
Love that!! Thanks
this is incredible!! your ppt is actual magic. thank you for being so generous and sharing this gem!
Anyone on iPad having trouble with the words not disappearing? They disappear fine in the explanation but not in the actual songs. I don’t think I’m fast enough to do it manually!
