Put up the cards of the tongue twisters on the board (or around the room).
Number each tongue twister (1-11).
One person at a time from each group can go to a tongue twister to read it.
The student then has to say their tongue twister to the teacher to progress to the next one.
Each student is given 2 tries to try and successfully say the tongue twister.
If they fail, the next student in the group must try. After 2 tries, whether they are correct or incorrect, the next student must try. This allows all students to have a go. It must be clearly read with no pauses and the pronunciation must be good.
The teacher decides if the group can progress to the next level.
The first group to do all the tongue twisters wins.
I sometimes found that the students struggle with the pronunciation so I will read out the word for them or the whole tongue twister to help them.
This was an absolute hit in my classes, but I changed it a bit. I might post the version I made (giving credit of course)
@mmakuniru go for it! I look forward to seeing your improvements!
