My Summer Vacation: Two Truths and a Lie

Past tense simple review in which students quiz each other on their own summer vacations. Writing and speaking.

Reviewing past tense simple with JHS using the game, "2 truths and a lie". Since it was my first time playing this game with my students, I demonstrated the rules + target grammar by making my own quiz. Then, I had students check the meaning as we reviewed past tense.
After that, its their turn! I accompanied this lesson with a short worksheet and gave them 10 minutes to write 3 sentences about their summer vacation, one of which has to be a lie.

Then, they quizzed each other. If their partner guessed CORRECTLY, they could sign below. The purpose for this is to make them talk to as many people as possible, instead of just giving up at a certain amount. I had one student get 20 signatures, about 2/3rds of the class!

I gave them 10 minutes to find as many students as possible and told them if they got a lot of signatures then I will give them a sticker. Use your own judgement for this, but I then gave them an extra 5 minutes and told them if they got a total of 10 or more signatures, I would give them a sticker, so they went hard.

+Good review for past tense simple
+Students go hard about getting a lot of signatures, even if they're not promised stickers lol
+Combines writing and speaking
+Gets them moving
-Some students take a long time to write, even if you give them 10 minutes.
* I usually have about 2 or 3 students who haven't finished by the end, so I asked them how much time they need. About a minute or 2 is fine. Students who are finished already should read over what they wrote/practice with their friends in the meantime.

Attached below is a PDF and .doxc for summer vacation. I'm planning on using this for winter, too.
I'll also add my Powerpoint so you can see how I explained it ^^
