This activity was requested to me to make by one of my JTE's and basically how it works is she told me to choose a song in English with simple lyrics. In which I choose Country Roads by John Denver. And from there I made a worksheet with ten blanks in the lyrics and the words I chose to make blanks are very simple words students in JHS should be able to understand and be able to write. For the actual activity I would play the song two or three times and choose a few videos of the song on Youtube. The first one I would play had no lyrics so this will test the students listening skills as they had to listen carefully to the song to try to hear the missing words. And the other one I played has lyrics in it so that the students could read and be able to find the missing words to fill in the blanks easier. I would play that video the second and/or third time they listen to the song depending on time. Finally after playing the song two or three times I would check their answers. Overall my students had fun and enjoyed the song!

*side note: depending on the JTE they may prefer one or both of the videos. I had one JTE have me use both lyrics and no lyrics video, and the other JTE only the lyrics video.
