Pretty self explanatory!
This is karuta with how/when/where/what for NH2's Key Sentence 17: I know how to use these products.
My JTE wanted me to make a game with a focus on interrogatives, so I made karuta.
Have students get into groups of 4 or 5. Each group should have a set of the four interrogatives cards (how/when/where/what). Display a sentence with the interrogatives missing, students should take whichever one they believe fits in the blank space. There's not a point system added to this, just a way to familiarize students with interrogatives.
This game has 3 rounds and is a little Mortal Kombat themed, lol.
Attached is the presentation (+a preview, but it obviously doesn't show the animations that are in the Powerpoint.) I also attached the pdf I printed to make the interrogatives cards. There is probably a more efficient way to do that, but...
EDIT: Fixed a few of my sentences to fit the interrogatives+to... format
Enjoy!
Very nice! Thanks for this!
So just a side note. One of my JTE's after doing this the first time noticed four of the sentences (5,6,9,11) didn't fit the target grammar. For example on number five we changed it to "I know what to ask Mr. ." Becasuse the og sentence didn't include __ (How what when where) to, like in the key sentences and example problems on pg. 73 and 74. We also changed numbers 6, 9, and 11 as well for the same reasons. Hopefully this doesn't sound rude. Just wanted to give you a heads up since my JTE told me about it ^_^!
Hello! Thank you for your comment! I see what you mean now. I totally forgot to add "to" - so I'll fix it now and reupload it soon! @MegaTaco
