It's hangman, but made (more) school-appropriate. My first actual attempt at diving into more complex animations and triggers!
INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE CLASS;
Choose your word(s)! (I’ve programmed in options for between 5 and 9 letters).
Go to the slide that has the right amount of letter slots.
Input each letter in place of an X! (this is easiest if you open the objects window and hide the wave, or you can move it out of the way and move it back later. Either way, don’t forget to put it back!)
DELETE ALL UNUSED GAME SLIDES. You should have the title slide, your game slide(s), and the one with the sky background.
****you may need to edit the hyperlinks on the birds on the last slide!!
DURING CLASS;
Start the slideshow from slide 1. Click to trigger starting animation.
Click to next slide. (may take 2 clicks depending on your speed.)
Click on the space above each underscore for a correct letter guess.
Click on an X for an incorrect guess.
After a letter is guessed, click on it to make it disappear.
Click on the fish if all letters are guessed (win).
Click on the parachute to trigger the falling animation (loss).
Click on a bird to go to a different question. Otherwise, click anywhere else to end the game.
Be careful with your clicks to avoid hitting the wrong letter or triggering the loss animation too quickly! You could also delete the letters and write them on the board, but I found that irritating so I programmed them in. It is a LOT of clicking, though, so up to you!
Well made. You might want to have a trigger button for the falling out of the sky animation rather than click anywhere. It is so easy to have an accidental click when doing a PPT activity.
Good idea! I was thinking about that during my last class - might make it triggered by clicking on the parachute itself.
(Now updated to add that trigger!)
Good spot for it. Easy to remember.
