How are you? Sugoroku

Play a Super Smash Bro sugoroku (board game) while practicing How are you? and feelings.

Simple board game stylized from the Super Smash Bros game.

I recommend printing on A3 size paper and laminating.
You can adapt the board game anyway you want to play.
I have provided a blank version of the game. You can add your own images and words. You can also use the blank board for other units and grammar points.

Materials
Board game (A3 size)
Dice (1 dice)
Markers (students can their use eraser)

Time: 20 -30 minutes

How to play
1. Make groups.
2. Play janken to decide the order.
3. Students not all rolling first ask in unison “How are you?” to student who will roll the dice.
4. The student whose turn it is will then roll the dice. They will move to the space and answer “I’m ______” from the image on the space.
5. The next student gets ready to roll and repeat from step 3.

Students must follow the green and red arrows like the game chutes and ladders. Additionally, must move forward or backwards indicated by the number (number of spaces) and arrow directions. A demonstration once or twice is usually enough for students to understand the concept.

Alternative play
If students finish early, you can have them play the board game in reverse from finish to start.

My SN students loved this activity when I kept going back again and again lol. Thank you very much for posting this activity. Is it possible, if you can also post the Sugoroku blank file in .docs? I want to edit the file and add the new vocabulary. Thank you :)
