Activity

NH2 Unit 5 - Can you tell me where to buy bread?

In groups, students use their tablets to find the answers to the question. Students then practice the target grammar with the ALT or JTE.

I start by giving the students a worksheet.

I use number 1 as an example and say that they should give their recommendation. It's a nice way to get restaurant recommendations for your city :) Just make sure to replace my example with one local to your school.

Next we practice the conversation.

I then explain that from Question 4 they should use their tablets to look up where each place is.

I'm sorry if the power point is a little unclear. I do this style of activity quite often with my students so they don't need a lot of explanation. I have the students make groups of three or four students and I give each group a stamp sheet. From there they start from Question 2 and take turns bringing the stamp sheet to the front. At the front they follow the conversation and I give them a stamp when they finish. I give the students a sticker when their group finishes all the questions.

Feel free to make changes such as increasing or decresing the number of questions OR changing the questions to get your students more interested.
