I made this game template to create some review games for my students before their final tests. I find that a lot of current Jeopardy games either run slow or the formatting is off because of my older laptop/older powerpoint.
For this game, separate the students into groups (and have them choose a team name). You can give each group a whiteboard/marker. You can either keep track of their points on the blackboard or you can have them keep track of their own points on their whiteboard. Have the students switch who is writing/answering each time a question is asked.
Janken to see which order the groups will go in. When it's their turn, have them choose a category and dollar value (just like regular jeopardy). Have them use the whiteboards to answer if you're using them. If they answer the question correctly, add the dollar value to their points. If they answer incorrectly, then subtract the dollar value. Then, have the next group pick a category and dollar value (repeat process until questions are finished). Highest dollar value at the end of the game wins.
I'll come back and upload class-specific versions when I've finished creating them. We use the Here We Go textbooks at my junior high school so some of the questions are specific to that.
Always good to have more quizzes. My school laptops are usually rubbish too (twenty-minute boot up time was the worst ever). Thanks!
Thank you for making this!
Thank you for making the template! I usually just use pre-made Jeopardy games I find on this site, but my teacher wanted specific review. I'm not good with creating my own Jeopardy without a template, so this got me going to be able to just jump in with the questions and not worry about logistics!
This is perfect, it's also designed for the same textbook I'm using now. Thanks so much!
