Simon says simple explantion

Simple visual aid explantion for Simon says for ES 4th grade, 5th grade and JSH 1st grade.

I like to play Simon says with my students whenever we go over directions. The 4th grade ES are about to do left and right directions soon so I thought I would put this together over the winter break to make it a little easier to explain. We all know how the game works. This is just a visual aid to help my students understand better.

The first side tells students that someone is Simon or the "BOSS". Simon tells you what to do!

Next side "Simon says trun left".
They all turn left

Next side " trun right"
One person truns right. The rest stay put! And "x" shows up to show that is wrong. I then ask the students why is that person now out? What is missing? I have a red line on the missing simon says part if they don't understand and then let them know they need to listens for "simon says" at the start or they don't do it.

Then I go on about the other ways to get out of the game

Next side "simon says trun right"
One person truns left and then corrects themself and then goes right. That person is now out. I ask the students why is that person out?

Next side "simon says trun left"
They both trun left
"Simon says trun right"
One person trun right and one goes left
That person that goes left is now out!

Last person is the winner!

I would have added go stright and sit down but I couldn't find pictures that matched so I just go over each possable direction (trun right, trun left, sit down, stand up, go stright and stop.) with them before we start. When I do this with older kids I do add a few more direction with like "touch your (body part)" or jump 5 times.

Directions are done with ES 4th grade Let's try unit 8 "This is my favorite place, 5th grade unit 5 Where is the Post Office" and JSH 1st grade New Crown but im not sure what unit it.

Hi! I'm absolutely love to use powerpoints to explain games, but just can't seem to figure out the .key file type. Do you think you could upload another version (even just a pdf preview) for non-iOS users?
