Simple powerpoint comparing some of the differences between Canada and Japan. I'm from Montreal, so that's why there's some French places (couche-tard, la belle province) you might not have elsewhere in Canada. You can change them out for English speaking provinces stores/restaurants instead.
Try to get students to tell you about the Japanese places (in English, of course) and then explain what we have back home in Canada.
Students have found this quite interesting.
