I made these karuta cards for elementary school after being inspired by playing real karuta with my 6th graders on a rainy day. The vocabulary set includes animals, sports/asobi, fruits, and vegetables. There is a separate alphabet and colors set. Planning on adding more soon, but let me know if you have any other ideas or recommendations! EDIT: I added verbs too! This is especially for JHS 1st years or special needs classes.
Print in color and laminate for longevity. I'd say 4-6 sets is enough depending on how large your groups are and what you're reviewing, and probably best to review multiple sets (like fruits and vegetables together) if you want to go many rounds. Print front and back so to make categorizing them much easier and add a background to each set c:
These are great! Just one small thing, for the alphabet karuta, all the letters are uppercase except for y, which is lowercase.
@Bonjure289 Thank you! I just checked and I thought so too! It's uppercase Y in the Comic Sans font D: I just added another version with a different font. Thanks for catching that!
Look great!Nice you made backing for them too.
@Furachan Thank you very much!!
These are perfect, thank you !!
