This is a directions activity that can be used in multiple ways, in multiple grades. I have used it from 5th grade to JHS!
Good conversation practice if you want to do an information/interview exchange or for listening practice.
Use whatever grammar you are currently in for whatever grade.
"Where is the ~" "Can you tell me where ~" "How do I get to ~"
The first page lists everything on the map. The second page has some missing blanks - use this page for listening practice by giving the students directions and have them fill in the blank with the location you say.
The last two pages are for pair work - information gap exchange. There is an A and B - each missing 4 locations but you dont know which are missing until you ask your partner. Students start at the star where home is and direct the other to a missing location.
I did have to write down which 4 locations were missing from A and B on the board in order for this go more smoothly.
You could probably use a TV or projector to use this as well.
Feel free to change any of the places names to what meets your needs!
The students really loved that the map was based on pokemon too.
This is a great map. Nice to see a good quality pokemon make in here too. I am going to take it and play around with it on powerpoint to have some characters move around in it
Super cool. Any chance you could share what programme you used to make the map? I'd love to make some more.
