I've seen this activity posted elsewhere but wanted to make a PowerPoint version to go with it.
Place students in groups of 5. Have them decide who is player 1,2,3 etc. If you have a group of four, one student can choose to go twice each round.
At the start of each round, everyone 'goes to sleep' and puts their heads down so they can't see the board.
One by one, tell each player to wake up, check the word on the board and write it on their sheet then go back to sleep.
Once each player has seen and written their word, it's time for everyone to WAKE UP!
Once awake, the groups share their word(s) and make the sentence. You can then check the answer together. I typically give a stamp to each group once they all finish.

This is a great activity. I've done a similar activity before but instead of a worksheet, each group had a whiteboard.
