A basic first lesson activity I often use when I first go to a school.
After the ALT and JTE have done their introductions the students work in groups or pairs to think of questions to ask the teachers. They use the information they get to fill in the blanks.
When I demonstrate the activity I demonstrate saying 'hello, I'm~. Nice to meet you.' and then the question. That way the students can also introduce themselves when they ask a question. In mid-sized or smaller classes I also ask the students a similar question. In big classes I sometimes skip that since we're often pressed for time.
The stand in pictures at the bottom should be replaces with actual pictures of the ALT and JTE. I usually give the stamps if they complete one full profile or two half profiles.
I've included a basic 1st year version as well as 2nd and 3rd year. I am currently working on a new 1st year version that reflects more of what they studied in elementary school. I'll include that when I'm done making it.
