NOTE: Slides 1, 2, 3, 4, 80, 81, 83, 84, and 86 have notes written on them to give you a guide to all the nooks and crannies. Slide 4 will basically teach you how each of the battle screens will work as there are a lot of invisible buttons to go to specific slides
NOTE2: If for some reason a slide animation just stops working, it's most likely the battle theme causing the issue. Here's what I do to fix it:
1)Click on the battle theme audio button in the slide that isnt working
2)click on 再生 (not sure what it is in English, but the last tab at the top
3)click on スタイルなし, it should make the battle theme be click to trigger
4)go to animations, open the animation window, then move the battle theme back to the top
5) now when you go to the slide that wasnt working, you just have to click to manually start the animation as opposed to it being automatically
(I really don't know why this mess happens lol)
2/26 Edit: Thanks to Crudddd, I realized that the previous version I had uploaded did not have the notes on how the battles work. Now when you check slide #4, the instructions should be there in the notes on how to make the game work. It's to give the illusion that a game is actually going on haha
My biggest game so far. I have gone through and tested it many times to make sure everything works but if there are issues, let me know! I have worked on this for hours and so far, it is my magnum opus.
The version I'm uploading is the one I did for my year 3 students today for our last class together. However, you can change the text in each of the prompts to suit whatever you need!
The kids enjoyed it a lot and most of them were kept engaged. They used white boards and I made it so the group answering got 5 pts, and then other groups could get points too if they were faster than the others (doesnt affect the 5pt group). 3/2/1pt depending on speed and if correct
The only issue I've had so far is that one team just dominates everything haha. If you have any suggestions, let me know!
this is really cool! I noticed that cave 1 might have a slight problem with the timing of the animations. The beginning animation where the monster comes out, is delayed by like 1 minute and 37 seconds. Ive been trying to figure out how to make it so it just plays after like 1.5 seconds instead. any advice?
@Nisemono Thank you for the reminder! I have fixed the powerpoint and it all SHOULD be working just fine now. I wrote it in the new description but I'll also mention it here:
For some reason whenever I do an animation preview, it messes with all the timing and then it wont work anymore. However, it should be just fine when doing presentation mode many times
Hello, can you please clarify how this should work? On the battle screen, I click attack, the monster is defeated, and five points are given. On the next click, the characters are briefly shown fallen and then back up with "the party is healed." The notes for slide 4 aren't there.
I'm very impressed by the ambition of this thing and really hope to use it when I figure it out!
@crudddd The way the battle screens work is detailed in the notes section of slide 4! Not sure if notes save onto the uploads
Basically, the words don't really do what they would normally do!
-----On each battle, there is a hidden timer of 1m30s-----
--The team members fall one after another every 20/20/20/30 seconds
--After 1m30s has passed, everyone will be down, click on "party was defeated" text to return to the cave screen
--attack, defend, item, and run have hidden buttons for 4 different situations
===attack: Students answered before 20 seconds and nobody has fallen
===defend: Students answered 20-39sec in, with 1 person down
===item: Students answered 40-59 sec in, with 2 people down
===run: Students answered 60-89 sec in, with 3 people down
**********in these 4, click on "the party gained 5 pts" to return to the cave select screen, or minigame screen if there is one
