I was inspired by Lucasmh and their 'Which Way To Go?' directions games and made one of my own. Just like with their PPT game, you ask students "which way?" and when a student gives the correct answer, you click and Pac-Man will move. I also added the phrase "go back", so there are four potential directions for Pac-Man to move. I found it to be a really fun new way to practice directions with ES 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
At the beginning, explain that Pac-Man needs to reach the goal, but first needs to reach all four diamonds to do so. Pac-Man is an old game and some kids didn't know about the Pac-Man ghosts, so if they really don't know what's going on you'll need to explain that as well. It is by no means perfect, so I would definitely go through and see how it works. Of course make adjustments!
There is a setting you can make so that your sound doesn't show, or if you don't want to look for that, just move all the sound off the slide. It will still be there, but just won't show
Wonderful job with the pacman and ghosts animations.
Thank you both!
