The PowerPoint helps students review the past tense words they have been using to describe their summer vacation. You can use this PowerPoint with a game of your choice to help them review past tense words.
For my class, we used the Crossfire game when students were answering questions. The goal of crossfire is for all students to sit down simultaneously. All students are standing up, and one student will answer the question. If the student gets it right, they will pick a direction card in which students will be sitting. For example, if the student picks vertical, any students that are vertical of he/she will sit down. It is a fun way to engage students to answer the question. However, you can use any game you want with this PowerPoint.
The PowerPoint is in the fill-in-the-blank style, so when you are in slideshow mode, the answer is hidden until you click the slide. Students can use a key with the words and the pictures as a hint, but if you want to make it harder, you can take out the words, picture, or both. There's also a picture of the word in the PowerPoint, but you can change it depending on your students.
