Pokemon Train Directions Activity (How to get to~)

A speaking challenge directional activity mixed with the fun of catching pokemons and asking directions from your friends! (Blue Sky 3 - Let's Talk 3)

Concentration: direction analyzing, speaking, writing, listening, and reading practice.
Materials required: worksheet printout (downloadable). (Stickers or prizes are only optional.)

Step-by-step process:
• First, distribute the worksheets/ printout (downloadable below) to all the students. Practice saying the pokemon names at least.
• Use the powerpoint below, to show the map of the cities of where the pokemons are located. It is also good to practice saying the names of the cities and the train station line.
• Pinpoint their current location on the map.
• By this point, it is also good to have practiced at least the Let's talk 3 conversation point. Practice the example dialog given, since they will be asking their friends too.
• Explain that they will be writing the locations of the pokemon on the right side of the paper.
• Do a practice dialog or explain the model dialog that they will need to model.
• The students should fill up and write the answers of their partner in the worksheet.
• Once everyone is prepared and also ready, you may proceed to let them stand and ask directions from their friends.
• If game is prize incentivized, First 5 to 10 people to catch the pokemons or complete the bingo sheet, wins.

Layout question example:

Dialog:
A:Excuse me, could you tell me how to get to Electric city?
B:Take the Safari Line to Pew City. At Pew City, change to Rock Line. Get off at Electric City.
