Students make teams and compete to have them most money at the end. The JTE's loved the 3rd year game so they asked me to make the same review game for the other years as well.
There are no answers in the powerpoint (exception for multiple choice and sentence correction), I clap for the student if they give a correct answer.
Teams take turns (go in order) to pick a number corresponding with a question. They then have a set amount of time to answer the question (you need a timer or just count down). If they fail to answer the question within the allotted time the question can be stolen by another team. You can choose the team by the fastest team to raise their hand, the closest to guess the number you're thinking of, etc. (the original team can compete to answer again.) The next team to answer for the same question has less time.
I think it's pretty straight forward, there are more simple instructions in the ppt.
!!* Make sure you click on the number in the box on the question home page slide or else the X will not appear when you return to the page
after answering the question, clicking once will reveal the cases money amount and the question of deal or no deal.
If deal, write down the students points and click the home button to move on.
If no deal, click the no deal button and it will take you to their surprise (more money, less money, steal money, or extra question) !!* Click the home button when finished to move on.
On the homepage the squares indicating the money corresponding to the questions will disappear if you click them as you answer questions. - but it sometimes gets confusing to remember the original amount when going through no deals so not clicking them is fine too.
Having your JTE help you record the teams points on the board is very helpful.
