This is Quiz Master 9000.
It has questions for elementary 3rd grade all the way to junior high school 3rd grade.
Over 800 questions!!
First, put your students into groups. I usually have them in 6-8 groups per class, but this can depend.
Then you select the grade from the dropdown and the theme you want. For junior high school, you can choose which grammar you want to focus on.
Current themes : Kimetsu no Yaiba, Super Smash Bros, Pokemon, Doraemon and Animal Crossing.
Teams select from the ABC menu. To select, I usually make them say a word that starts with the letter they want to select. (so A would be Apple etc).
Then when you push the button, a question comes up. Students in a team should all answer together, so they should definitely take some time to compare notes.
Click the bottom bar to make the answer appear!
Then when you click the OK button, the students get points. (have the HRT or someone keep tally on the points received on the blackboard).
Sometimes, the students won't receive points, but an eye symbol will appear. This means that they get a special card (print file included)
I have cards printed out that the students pick when the special event happens. They can use it whenever they want.
The cards represent a magic power. The students can use it on themselves or other teams. When they decide to use it, have them bring the card to you, then go to the eye menu and select the eye symbol on the card.
The cards have a 50/50 of having something good happening (points) or something bad happening (losing points etc). So it's extra interesting whether they use it on themselves or other teams.
Game best played on a PC with a projector so that everybody can see what's happening on screen.

Are you able to run these on your school computers? I gave it a try and I don't think it could get past the security.
It does work on my school computers, but I suppose my schools have low security ? Sample size of one unfortunately :)
I'd love to hear people's problems so I can fix them in future updates. Are people not able to open .exe files in their schools?
I imagine that a lot of schools have security policies that prevent .exe files from working, but it probably depends on the city or town's IT department.
Well for now those who are able to use it on their school computers or those who use their own can use it.
I'll look into other ways of playing this for the others. Uploading it onto a website or something :)
There is always bringing in a computer from home. I do that for some videos since I can no longer upload new ones to the school computers without pleading for the 'special USB stick'
It won't open on my school compute either and because I have a Mac I also cannot open it :(

When I try to open the .exe file on my school computer i get the error message that the designated path does not exist.
Could you provide a list in English what the various grammar points for the JHS levels means? (my Japanese is terrible; i'd like to know what grammar i'm getting them to review!) - you don't have to add it to the program itself, just a comment on here with the Japanese/English for those menus will do.

Hello! Did the panels manage to be faster on the Mac version as well? It still feels a little slow.
great game thank you! the in game menu displays the Japanese grammar terms using Chinese characters. it's pretty easy to understand but it can be a tad confusing sometimes.
there's some questions where the answer, question, or instruction don't match the word.

Hi Aurora Edutainment, I love your work. this is a long shot, now that many of us are using chromebooks, is it possible to get a chromebook compatible version. . . or a link to a website that hosts this? You have done an amazing job on your games.
Creag_Sapporo I have auroraedutainment.itch.io with the game loaded, but some schools block itch.io for being full of games. I`m going to try and find a way to load it on to a privately hosted thing if I can find the files again. OR rebuild the entire thing with all the cool things I have learned since uploading. Either way, exciting times!
